A BURST water main has blocked the main road between Teignmouth and Dawlish.
Reports came in this afternoon that the main head burst between John Nash Drive, Dawlish and Fordens Lane, Holcombe near the Smugglers Inn.
The road has been closed along that part of the A379 in both directions.
Traffic is reported to be slow moving and buses are not running along the route.
The alert was first issued at 1.30pm.
