James CArden, of Coombe Road, Teignmouth, writes:

What a fabulous job the contractors and Teign Housing have done on the flats in Parson Street, Pellew Arcade and at Douglas and St James' Houses. This has really visually transformed the entrance into the town for residents and visitors alike. We now have our own little piece of 'Docklands'.

It would be great now if pressure by Teignmouth Town Council could be put on the owners of Five Ways at the roundabout junction of the main road and Orchard Gardens to do something to the exterior of this building, which is now looking quite dilapidated and is really letting the town centre down at what must be its busiest entrance.

Perhaps the non-local owner is happy to pocket the rental income from the bedsits and is not interested in re-investing in the building to the detriment of the town... who knows?MORE LETTERS IN OUR DIGITAL EDITION
