THE Friends of Buckfastleigh School are holding one of their popular fundraising jumble sales on March 5 in the school hall, from 10am to noon.

And they are looking for donations of sellable items now.

A spokesman for the event said: ‘There’ll be clothes, books, toys, bric-a-brac and so on as well as our legendary cakes, teas, coffees and bacon rolls.

‘Come for a bargain or just come for breakfast!

‘In the meantime, if anyone has any good quality resalable things they could let us have, we’ll be collecting it in school in the run up up to the sale, or could collect it direct from people’s houses.’

The spokesman said they can’t take electrical items, duvets or underwear.

Helpers are also required at the sale – and are promised a free bacon butty in return for their help setting up.
