Friday night was auction night at the Paradiso in Bovey Tracey.

The centre for the arts staged the event to raise funds for good causes, and the man with the gavel was one of the directors, David McGahey.

In total 24 works of art created by 17 artists went under the hammer and raised an impressive £1,750.

The proceeds will be split between three local charities – the Heathfield Revival Youth Club, the Bovey Tracey Community Fridge, and the Paradiso itself.

The Paradiso’s next exhibition, The Urban Environment, runs from June 9 to July 9

Featuring some stunning paintings, the exhibition will explore the many facets and environs of our towns and cities.
