A YOUNG Teignmouth woman is travelling to Kenya in April to spend 10 weeks volunteering on a UK Government-funded project to fight poverty.

Bethan Ray, 19, will be working on a project run by the international development organisation VSO as part of the International Citizen Service (ICS) programme. She will work alongside Kenyan volunteers to support communities, especially disadvantaged groups, to increase their economic opportunities.
