HUNDREDS of people have turned out for the first few events of the Dawlish Walking Festival that started this weekend.
The festival is organised by Sustainable Dawlish with sponsorship from The Shoe Centre and Dawlish Town Council with assistance from volunteers.
Many walks are led by community organisations and individuals who generously give their time during the festival. The walks are focusing on different themes including drawing, sustainability, and history.
Sue Brader, co-organiser of the event, said the festival has been great thus far and people have been enjoying themselves despite the unseasonably hot weather.
The variety of walks have been enjoyed by local ramblers, walkers, and volunteers of all ages and abilities.
