WHEELBARROW racing is set to return to Newton Abbot this summer and hopefuls are being encouraged to sign up.

The popular charity event, part of the town’s carnival festivities, is taking place in Courtenay Park on July 14.

Racers whiz through the park battling it out against the competition to raise cash for their chosen charities.

Entry fees are £50 – but £25 is returned to the team once they take part in the race.
