WHILE the sun failed to make an appearance, people still turned out in their masses for the 121st Chagford Agricultural and Horticultural Show.

With more than 200 trade stalls to enjoy and livestock, horse competitions and live music, there was something for everyone at the ever popular August event.

Beer Tent Corner, so named for the availability of alcholic beverages, saw several performers take the stage and delight passers-by with their eclectic assortment of tunes; whether it be the harmony jazz and swing classics courtesy of The Liberty Sisters or the soft county rock of up-and-coming female duo, True Foxes.

Dogmarsh Fields saw Paul Hannam, a quad bike stuntman from North Devon with 25 years’ experience riding quad bikes, execute his stunt show to rapturous applause.

The crew from Chagford Fire Station were out in force, giving two presentations at 1.45pm and 4pm respectively.

No such agricultural show would be complete without competitons: animals, flowers, vintage vehicles and food, for example.
