THE ‘fuddy duddy’ reputation held by some about a Teignmouth community centre was blown away with a lively open day.
About 50 people visited the Alice Cross Centre, and had a great time with music and a range of other energetic activities.
There was great interest in the yoga class which starts in September, and for the centre volunteers it was heartening to see the interest from new faces.
The food served up also attracted compliments, and the manager, Julia Street, thanked Sports Bug who laid on various events.
‘The day helped to remove some of the stigma that exists around old age, and showcased the Alice as a vibrant and lively venue.’
