POPULAR tourist attraction the South Devon Steam Railway laid on a Coronation Special on the eve of the events at Westminster Abbey.
Organised by driver and fireman Charlie Dennis, the train was made available free of charge to residents from Ashburton and wider afield.
Apacked express took passengers on the round trip form the charity’s Buckfastleigh Station to Totnes and back. The occasion proved so popular an extra carriage had to be laid on to accommodate all the King’s men, women and children.
