Teignmouth RFC's annual meeting was opened by chairman Rob Vicary, who held a minute's silence for absent friends before starting his report.
Vicary started by congratulating the players and all those involved in achieving a 100 per cent league record, something that was a first at Teignmouth.
He told members that the new club captain was Colin Aldworth.
Dave Kendell was congratulated for organising the tour to OMTs, and Ray Moore and Rob Loveridge for organising the past players' reunion.
He went on to explain that Milford Park had been renovated at considerable cost to try and keep minis playing there.
The secretary told members that Christmas Eve carols had raised £225 for British Heroes Fund.
The juniors have a new chairman – Geoff Warne – after the resignation of Chris Ovens.
The report closed wishing Colin Aldworth and Chris Aggett every success.
The treasurer told the meeting that sponsorship was down due to the current recession. Club drink prices are kept to a reasonable cost and an extra £6,000 could be made just by adding 20p a pint.
The election of officers and committee followed.
There was no change to the officers and only one committee member had resigned.
