MOTORISTS are being urged to steer clear of the A380 after an accident closed the southbound carriageway this morning. 

The incident, which occurred just after the B3195 junction for Kingsteignton, was reported just after 9am. Emergency services now predict that traffic may take more than two hours to clear. 

Delays will also be compounded by roadworks in the area. 

Traffic is reportedly moving past the scene; however drivers are still advised to seek another route.
