TEIGNMOUTH RNLI lifeboat crew helped in the search for a missing person last night.

A multi-agency search took place on Friday evening for a missing person.

The volunteer lifeboat crew launched both the Atlantic 85 and Arancia lifeboats on Friday in response to a report of a missing person.

The crew aboard the Atlantic 85 undertook a shoreline search in Teignmouth whilst crew on the Arancia searched the river Teign.

The Exmouth all weather lifeboat, search and rescue helicopter and Coastguard team were also involved in the search.

The casualty was located by police and the crew were stood down and returned safely to station.
