POLICE are hunting a Valentine gang who got away with valuables worth nearly £20,000 from a Teignbridge caravan site.

Thieves struck on February 14 at the Kennford Caravan Park where their booty included an £8,500 silver necklace and a £5,000 Oyster Perpetual Rolex watch.

Other treasures taken from a residential caravan at the location were an Armani watch, a brown leather strap watch with visible gold mechanisms, a yellow gold diamond solitaire ring and a Dell latitude 3340 laptop. A quantity of cash was also snatched.

Police say the break-in happened at about 10pm on Valentine’s Day - a Sunday. Intruders smashed a window to get in.

Det Con Jessica Fewings, of Newton Abbot CID, said: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who knows where any of the stolen property is, or has been offered any of the items for sale.

‘We would also like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Kennford area at the time of the incident.’

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 or email [email protected], quoting crime reference CR/010978/16.
