TEIGNMOUTH estate agents Complete Property have contributed generously to the funds of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, having helped to raise an impressive £4,721 for the organisation.

With branches across Devon including the one in the seaside town of Teignmouth, estate agents Complete Property supports an impressive range of charities and not-for-profit organisations, having raised thousands of pounds for these since the launch of their ‘Complete Community Fund’.

Manager of Complete Property’s Teignmouth branch, Ben Winterbotham said: ‘With Teignmouth’s fabulous location slap-bang on Devon’s beautiful coastline, we are very aware the amazing work carried out by the RNLI.

‘Our local lifeboat is crewed by members of the community and it is wonderful to know that our  beaches are lifeguarded for everyone’s safety.

‘We are so pleased to have been able to give something back to this organisation which is pivotal to safety in our beautiful seaside town.’

The work of the RNLI is invaluable in this corner of the UK, with volunteer lifeboat crews providing a 24-hour rescue service across the region and lifeguards looking after people on our busy beaches.

RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved more than 142,700 lives since 1824 and many people don’t realise that they are so much more than a rescue service.

Their safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast.

They even have international teams working with like-minded organisations to help tackle drowning in communities at risk all around the world.
