HUNGRY thieves raided a cafe and an ice cream parlour in Teignmouth overnight.

Offenders forced the front door of the Relish cafe in Northumberland Place where they snatched the contents of charity boxes and rifled the cash contents of a pot thought to contain more than £30.

They struck some time after 8pm last night. The alarm was raised this morning just after 8.30am.

Anyone with information should ring police on 101, quoting log 0085 of October 12.

Also attacked was the Cherry on Top ice cream parlour on The Den where culprits smashed a window to get in.

A quantity of emptied ice cream cartons was later found outside. Investigations are continuing.
