POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of recent catalytic converter thefts across Devon and Cornwall.

Between mid-February and mid-April, police have received nine reports of thefts in the Newton Abbot area, the latest being at from a car parked in Trendlebere Down car park, Manaton, during the morning of Monday, April 19

The thefts have been occurring Forcewide including Plymouth, Barnstaple and Exeter, and generally occur during the day.

Police are urging motorists to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Police would also like to hear from anyone who has been approached by someone selling a catalytic converter, and anyone with CCTV which may have captured the people selling them, to help officers identify those responsible.
