AN APPEAL for witnesses has gone out by police after a man with serious injuries was found lying in the road in Kingsteignton early this morning (8/04/17).

The man, believed to be in his twenties, was injured at about 12.10am at the lower end of Exeter Road.

Police immediately closed off the area and diversions were put in place. Exeter Road was closed in both directions between Ley Lane, Longford Lane and Fore Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting log no 53/8.
