A ‘STOCKY’ man in his 40s is being sought by police after a vicious assault in Teignmouth over the weekend.

Police say the man is wanted in connection with an attack on a 47-year-old man in Northumberland Place on Sunday night.

The victim, who has not been named, suffered a suspected broken nose which bled heavily after the ‘violent altercation’ at about 9.30pm.

He was treated by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

A police spokesman urged anyone with information about the incident to ring officers on 101, quoting crime CR/080586/16
