A 50-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Dawlish this morning (Monday).

Emergency services were called at around 8.40am after a two vehicle road traffic collision involving an Audi Q5 and a Honda CBF on Exeter Road, Dawlish.

A police spokesperson said: ‘South West Ambulance Services and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident.

‘A 50-year-old man was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with serious injuries.

‘Exeter Road was closed for approximately 3.5 hours to allow for an examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicles.

‘Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward quoting log 119 – 18th January 2021.’
