BUCKFASTLEIGH firefighters made vehicles safe after a two-car collision on the A38 at South Brent on Friday night.

A black Vauxhall Astra from Sidmouth collided with a silver Nissan registered to a keeper in Plymouth.

The accident happened just before 8pm on the Exeter-bound carriageway. No one was hurt.

A police spokesman said a 20-year-old man from Sidmouth was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

He was bailed pending further inquiries.
