A MAN’S jaw was broken in two places and a woman had her hand broken in a serious attack in Newton Abbot and police have appealed for information.

The attack occurred at around 11.30pm on Monday, April 12, outside The Jolly Farmer pub on Market Street, but the police police have put out an appeal for information today (Friday).

A police spokesperson said: ‘During an argument between the male and female and a group, consisting of males and females, the couple were assaulted by members of the group.

‘A 21-year-old woman sustained a broken hand and a black eye and a 24-year-old man’s jaw was broken in two places.

‘Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area at the time and may have seen the suspects, to get in touch.

‘Anyone with any information which could assist police inquiries is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at [email protected] quoting crime reference CR/030155/21.’
