LARGE potted plants and ornaments are being plundered from gardens in the Teignmouth and Dawlish areas, police have warned.

Officers are urging residents to be on their guard against the thieving antics of the green-fingered offenders.

The cultivated culprits have been particularly fond of larger items from gardens, both natural and man-made.

And their favourite hunting grounds appear to be culs-de-sac.

A police spokesman urged gardeners to secure what items they could and remain vigilant.
