FIREFIGHTERS across Devon and Somerset have been busy dealing with flooding calls following heavy rain overnight.

Crews are warning drivers not to go through flood water.

A spokesman said: ‘We have been extremely busy with flooding incidents.

‘Overnight, we logged almost 300 calls.

‘Please do not drive through flood water.

‘It is dangerous and if you do try to do this and get stuck, please get out of the vehicle and arrange for recovery.’
