FIRE crews fought alongside workers to put out a blaze at the waste management centre near Kingsteignton yesterday evening (Thursday).

A spokesperson from Fire Control said: ‘Yesterday evening crews from Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, and Torquay attended a fire at waste management site just north of Kingsteignton.

‘Crews worked alongside on-site staff and the fire was extinguished using hose reel jets.
