Car engine catches fire on Telegraph Hill

A CAR’s engine caught fire near Telegraph Hill, Kenn, this morning (Wednesday).

Middlemoor Fire Station was called to deal with it at just after 6am.

A Fire Control spokesperson said: ‘Crews from Middlemoor attended a car on fire near Telegraph Hill.

‘The fire originated in the engine compartment and was extinguished by crews using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.

‘The cause of the fire was accidental.’
