TEIGNMOUTH has never seen anything like it – hundreds of motorcycles lined up on The Den.

It must have been one of the biggest gatherings of machines yet seen in the area and proved once again that the resort can handle the big events.

Nearly 750 riders and their pillions converged on Teignmouth after an 80-mile meandering ride from north Devon, to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance. Thousands of pounds are expected from entry fees and sponsorship.

The Den and the Upper Den Carriageway were a sea of bikes of all shapes, sizes, colours and vintages, and the organisers were full of praise for the way the resort staff organised and coped with the invasion.
