ON Saturday, July 8, Teignmouth Parkrun celebrated 75 years of the NHS, when around 600 runners and spectators took part in this national event of thanks to our healthcare providers.

Volunteers, runners and spectators wore fancy dress (NHS blue) and staff from The Coastal Network (Teignmouth Doctors) , Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust took part in the event.

Paul Burgess, Event Director, said: ‘A very big thank you to everyone joining us at Teignmouth parkrun on Saturday, 8th July, to celebrate the outstanding contribution the NHS, all doctors, medical professionals and staff have made over the last 75 years.

‘Our volunteers who turn out each Saturday to help were amazing and entered into the spirit to celebrate a big thank you to all our volunteers, runners and everyone from the NHS for making this event a huge success.’
