AN 82-year-old man has been charged with 22 historic indecent assault offences against a girl under the age of 14.

David Andrew Michael Milton, whose address was given as HM Prison Dartmoor, Princetown, is alleged to have carried out the assaults in Newton Abbot dating back to the 1970s on a girl under the age of 14.

The case was adjourned until November 17 by South and West Devon Magistrates’ Court.
