POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old boy was injured in a collision in Newton Abbot.
The youngster was taken to hospital following the collision with a car this morning.
The incident happened at Queensway just after 8am.
The boy is said to have sustained an ankle injury, described by police as ‘potentially life-changing but not life-threatening’.
Officers were called to the scene at 8.05am following reports of a collision involving a car and a child pedestrian.
The road was closed for about an hour.
The boy was taken to Torbay Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Officers investigating the incident, which involved a Skoda Yeti, are asking for any witnesses to contact them by calling 101 and quoting Log 107 of October 10 2022.
