DUE to repeated criminal damage and graffitiing police have stepped up patrols in the Clifford Park and Oakford Lawn parts of Newton Abbot.

They have called on people to report any incidents.

The town’s police took to Facebook to say: ‘We have received reports of repeated criminal damage and graffitiing at Clifford Park and Oakford Lawn over the past few weeks.

‘This has consisted of damage to street furniture, as well as heavy graffiti being sprayed and drawn onto playground equipment and the skatepark, mostly of an offensive or sexual nature.

‘Patrols in the area have been increased to prevent any further incidents.

‘We are working hard to identify those involved and will be dealing with them robustly.
