Steam lover John gets his dying wish

A TEIGNMOUTH man’s dying wish to have his ashes scattered over a steam train has been fulfilled.

John Burgess, who died last year, two days after his 72nd birthday, was a lifelong steam aficionado.

But carrying out his request proved tricky for the family, and it took eldest son Simon more than a year to make it happen.
