Bid for curtain up again at Riviera
Friday, 13 July 2012
A SERIOUS bid is being made to re-open the Riviera Cinema, Teignmouth, which has been mothballed for years.
A working party has been set up to investigate the viability of screening films again, and to examine avenues of funding.
One member, Teignmouth town councillor Jacqui Orme, believed it would be a huge boost to the town if it was possible.
The cinema was a huge favourite with locals and holidaymakers and she believed it could be one of the ‘most significant and popular’ projects in the regeneration of the resort.
