School a ‘priority’ for building programme

A Newton Abbot primary school looks to be in line for major refurbishment or even a brand new building after being identified by the Department for Education as one of the nation’s most deserving cases for investment.
The 200-pupil Haytor View Community Primary is one of only ten schools in Devon and 261 l From page 1
in England to have been included in the Priority School Building Programme.
Almost 600 applied for a share of a £1.1 billion pot, with Devon County Council making 13 requests including one for improvements at Chagford primary, which was also successful.
